About Marcy
An average day for Marcy might find her conducting a training seminar for a major Calgary HR department in the morning and by the evening she is in someone’s cozy living room guiding a group of women as they create their personal vision boards.
Facilitating training in communications and workplace learning, she believes that leadership is a process that managers use when they bring forth the best from themselves and others, a vital key to organizational success.
“The engagement, dynamics and fast paced interactions of business never fails to excite me. I didn’t become involved in one sector and remain there; instead I enjoyed time in several areas – public service, non-profit (both paid and volunteer), commercial real estate and the shopping centre industry. I am always interested in processes, efficiency and people. “
Mother, grandmother, keeper of long standing friendships her dreams and goals continue to vitalize her and are the foundation for a ‘work in progress’ book. Future travels to Portugal (perhaps a side trip along the Camino) and Nepal are on the bucket list; providing opportunities to learn more about the people, especially the women and children, living, working and dreaming there.
“I love my flower gardens and I am an avid motorcyclist. We quad and skidoo close to home when the weather is accommodating. Many diverse and engaging people cross my path and I enjoy welcoming them into our home. It is wonderful to share this love of hospitality with my husband.”
