The Adventure Begins

Dreams…Goals…The next thing on the list

These have consistently kept me energized and moving forward throughout my life.  Today is another actualization of one of the things this “dreamer” has thought and talked about.  I know there are risks attached to it; however, those have been addressed with logic and preparation as best they can.  Now I need to trust and believe that this journey I am embarking upon is the path I am meant to be on.

Yesterday, a friend and associate in wishing me well said, “I’m so pleased that you have the strength of character (and body) to make this commitment.” I’m grateful for this and particularly believe for the strength of body.  My husband, Murray believes that another characteristic, he calls it stubbornness and I call it determination, will see me through.

Packing is finished with spare room (not quite as much as I thought once technology& toiletries

were added) and I’m off for a farewell breakfast and then on to Regina, where I will be staying with family.  The bonus is that in addition to visiting with my cousin who lives there, I will have time with my aunt from northern BC.   She arrives today for her grandson’s wedding this weekend.

Interesting when I step back and look at how the pieces fit together and the unknown blessings along the way.  There is a wedding gathering at both the beginning and end of this journey – reasons for celebration. I’m sure the first 10,000 women in Malawi will celebrate when the first container arrives from Transformation Textiles with their kits and the material that will help change their lives.

I am believing this trip will bring change in my life, their lives and yours. So let the adventure begin. Rolling on!

Marcy you are truly an inspiration to all of us! You are showing us that one person can and does make a difference! Every young woman in Malawi who is empowered to take her rightful place as an educated person, empowers her community, and by default the world! We are so on our way to creating an exquisite world! Thank you for being you and following your dream!

Thanks Catherine. So gracious of you. I believe that our part is helping others overcome barriers. Transformation Textiles project in Malawi helps in that way and is also providing the girls with skills and a possible vocation. Thrilled to play a small part in this.

What you’re doing is truely insipiring, and I’m happy to know that there’s people like you in this world, it only takes one person, you may have started something here! Thank you for bringing Transformation Textiles to my attention. I am a customer of Luna Pads but did not know about this awesome program for those girls!
This is just so wonderful! As a mother of 5 girls with a heart for the less fortunate people, I love this idea and Thank God for it!
    Thanks again,
